• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Hmm, well, could you maybe take a shot at it, Mai? You sound the least unsure/booked out of the people who spoke up. Many thanks to (most of) the rest of you who volunteered, though. :P

If there's anybody who would be willing to fill in as referee for my battle against Byrus, I would really appreciate it.

Dig yes, but it takes more energy than usual; rock tomb and other rock attacks no, unless you've already broken the ground up a bit.

    League Championship 2011

Up to a month; the usual amount.

You mean do the pokémon continue taking poison damage/have their toxic damage go up when they're not on the field? No to both.

    League Championship 2011

Yup, that's how I would go about reffing it.

    League Championship 2011

It's not especially soft, but a pokémon will be able to smash through the foundations if it needs to.

    League Championship 2011

No, rotation must always be done at the start of an action.
  10. Negrek

    League Championship 2011

That's not something they can know. They can only know after the fact, e.g. "If A rotates in on your last action..."

    League Championship 2011

Ah, very well. They don't take the damage at the end of each round, but neither can they protect their masters against it. So a pokémon behind a substitute could still faint from it. No, heal pulse doesn't work on substitutes.

    League Championship 2011

Substitutes do not protect against the end-of-round arena damage, and they take it in addition to their masters. Therefore, it is possible both for a substitute to be destroyed while its creator is in reserve, and for a pokémon in reserve to faint, even though it has a substitute. No.

    League Championship 2011

    Yes.
  14. Negrek

    League Championship 2011

No, it rotates out with its creator. Substitute's don't take the damage per round.
  15. Negrek

    League Championship 2011

It stays up for its normal duration, and any pokémon rotate into it benefits from its effect. That does sap energy from the pokémon that rotated out as per usual.
  16. Negrek

    League Championship 2011

    Ah, sure, that would work.
  17. Negrek

    League Championship 2011

No. Okay, so I'll try to clear up some questions about the rotation format here. Let me know if you have any further questions afterward. - Most important of all, rotation is not switching. Ordinarily, switching out would cure you of confusion and attraction, shed some other effects like leech...

All battle threads for both the third round and the late bracket are now up. Good luck, everyone; let's see some great battles this round!

    League Championship 2011

Hmm, I thought that might be the case, but was too lazy to go back and check. In that case, skip Lord of the Fireflies, skip Skyman, and in the end Wargle gets the sixth slot. Funny how that works out. Well, that was the question I was trying to answer before, so I suppose I'll try again--no. A...
